Family-friendly municipality 2025
North Rhine-Westphalia is a family-friendly state, and the local authorities make a decisive contribution to this. They are increasingly thinking about administration from the perspective of families and seeing challenges as opportunities. Whether a large city, medium-sized town, small town or rural municipality: family friendliness can be experienced directly where you live.
In order to recognize municipal commitment and publicize particularly family-friendly projects, the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Family Affairs is awarding prizes for the second time to municipalities that take account of the diverse everyday family life and demographic change with innovative concepts or individual projects.
The motto of the state prize "Family Municipality" 2025 is "Family. Community. Cohesion."
