The Ministry for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Flight and Integration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia strives to make its websites accessible. Status of compatibility with the requirements for barrier-free information technology

A test was conducted by the Ministry for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Flight and Integration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in accordance with Article 3a of the Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/1523. For this accessibility test, the test steps of the self-assessment test of the BITV were applied. These are based on the current EU directive EN 301 549 and the international standard WCAG. With regard to the above requirements, the URL https://familienportal.nrw/ was tested on 04.10.2021 - 08.10.2021 by the Competence Center Accessible IT.

It was determined that the site is accessible for people with disabilities.

Monitoring Office for Accessible Information Technology of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia

The monitoring body for accessible information technology of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia regularly checks whether and to what extent Internet sites and mobile applications of public agencies of the state meet the requirements for accessibility.
The aim of the work of the monitoring body is to ensure compliance with the requirements for barrier-free information technology and to ensure comprehensive implementation of the statutory regulations.

If you do not receive a satisfactory response to notifications or inquiries regarding the accessible information technology of this website, you may involve the Ombudsman's Office for Accessible Information Technology of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. The ombudsman's office is assigned to the Commissioner for the Interests of People with Disabilities and is legally anchored in §§ 10d, 10e BGG NRW and §§ 9 ff of BITV NRW. With the involvement of all parties, the ombudsman's office tries to determine the circumstances of the lack of accessibility so that the agency can remedy it. The aim is not to find winners or losers. Rather, the goal is to find a solution to a problem together and out of court with the help of the conciliation office.
The conciliation procedure is free of charge. You also do not need legal counsel.
