Certificate telephones of the district governments
Annoyed and worried about bad grades? The report telephone can help!
On February 6, 2026, interim school reports will be issued in North Rhine-Westphalia. This is not always an occasion for great joy. Poor grades can cause anxiety among pupils. Some parents also worry when their child brings home poor grades. The most important thing is not to grumble about it, because the child is probably already suffering enough. The best advice is to remain calm and look for the causes together. From this, strategies can be developed to improve learning.
Legal advice on questions about grades and school careers
Parents and pupils who are angry about poor or unfair grades and are worried about their future at school can contact the school report hotline. The experts in the five NRW district governments answer legal questions about grading and school law. They also provide advice on how to proceed with the school career in the future. Advice is confidential and free of charge.
