Family associations NRW
In North Rhine-Westphalia, numerous family associations are committed to the interests of families on a daily basis. Their aim is to make the realities of families' lives visible and to represent their interests effectively and independently of political parties in politics and society.
The family associations campaign for better conditions for children and families - socially, financially and culturally. They advise political decision-makers, organize events on current family issues and promote networking and cooperation between stakeholders.
Eleven family associations have joined forces in the Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Familie NRW (LAG-F NRW). Together, they pool their experience, represent different perspectives - and speak with one voice for around 2.5 million families in North Rhine-Westphalia.
In addition, there are other family associations in NRW with different focal points. They all make an important contribution to a family-friendly society. Their common goal: a family policy that enables participation, embraces diversity and overcomes exclusion.
