NRW State Award for Family-Friendly Communities
North Rhine-Westphalia is a family-friendly state. Local governments play a crucial role in this. Cities, municipalities, and counties are implementing numerous innovative projects that improve the daily lives and quality of life for local families.
With the goal of highlighting examples of best practices, disseminating them across municipalities, and creating a space for exchange and inspiration, the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of Family Affairs has been honoring particularly dedicated municipalities with the state’s “Family-Friendly Municipality” award since 2024.
