Family life in North Rhine-Westphalia is more colorful and diverse than ever before. The Family Report brings together data, analyses, and practical perspectives. It describes the living situations of families, contextualizes developments, and thus provides an important foundation for the state’s ongoing family policy work. The focus is on topics such as family diversity, coping with social crises, the economic situation of families, social participation, and balancing family and work.
The voices and experiences of families in the state also play an important role in the Family Report. As part of statewide family dialogues, families, parents, children, and family policy stakeholders engaged in conversation with one another. The dialogues provided a space for exchange, feedback from everyday life, and new perspectives on the issues that matter to families in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The Family Report thus combines scientific analysis with real-life experiences. It focuses on families in North Rhine-Westphalia and aims to help ensure that family policy remains practical, forward-looking, and effective.
