Your way to the application

The multiple birth grant does not have to be applied for. Payment is made after the responsible registration office has reported the multiple birth to the State Chancellery.

There are no costs.

Simply explained

Parents of triplets or more children born at the same time are significantly more financially burdened. Baby equipment, clothes, diapers - everything has to be bought several times. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia provides support in this situation. The multiple child allowance is intended to alleviate the additional expenses, especially in the early days.

What requirements must be met?

Parents of triplets or more multiples born since January 1, 2019 are entitled to support. The prerequisite for payment is that the parents are registered in North Rhine-Westphalia at the time of the birth.

What do I get?

The multiple birth grant is a one-off payment of 1,000 euros per child. The Minister President of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is also the honorary godparent for the multiple birth children.
