Why should I specify a location?

With the help of the location information, we can display the information, forms and services suitable for you and your responsible office.

Which location should I specify?

For example, your place of residence if you want to apply for a passport or the company location if you want to register a business.

You must also enclose evidence with the completed application for continued benefits.

Current evidence of your rent or charges, in particular:

  • Account statements showing the amount of the current rent,
  • if applicable, current utility bills,
  • for owners: Proof of existing loans that you have taken out for the purchase, construction or modernization of your home or condominium,
  • for owners: current property tax assessment notice.

Proof of the income of all household members, for example

  • wage and salary statements for the last few months,
  • current pension statement,
  • current notification of receipt of other social benefits (e.g. unemployment benefit, parental benefit),
  • current notification of receipt of other social benefits (e.g. unemployment benefit, parental benefit),
  • current notification of receipt of other social benefits (e.g. unemployment benefit, parental benefit).
  • Proof of maintenance payments,
  • Proof of interest and other investment income (e.g. for savings accounts, fixed-term deposits, call money, building society savings contracts, funds); in particular tax certificates.

  • Certificate of disability and notification of care insurance benefits

There are no costs.

Simply explained

Housing benefit is intended to enable you to live appropriately and in a family-friendly manner. You can apply within one month of the end of the approval period at the latest to continue receiving housing benefit as a

  • rent subsidy or as
  • encumbrance allowance for owners of their own home or condominium.

The continued payment of housing benefit is usually approved for another 12 months. If your income remains the same, the approval period can be up to 24 months.

Children who are eligible for housing benefit and for whom child benefit is paid can receive benefits from the education and participation package.
