You can pick up the certificate in person there or order it by mail.

• joint name
• health insurance
• basic social security benefits
• Registration with government offices and agencies

A marriage certificate is also required in the event of a divorce or death. 

If you would like to apply for a marriage certificate, you will need: 

• Your ID card or passport
• The names of both spouses
• The date of the marriage
• The place of the wedding

The first marriage certificate costs 10 euros.

Each additional copy costs 5 euros.
